CheckinSydney (trading as The Arbitrage Project) ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and your rights in relation to it.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in that Act.

We collect only the personal information necessary to provide our mentorship program and related services.

The personal information we collect includes:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

We do not collect sensitive information such as health information, financial account details, government identifiers, or payment card details.

3. How we collect your information

We collect personal information:

  • directly from you when you enrol in our program or sign our Mentorship Agreement;
  • when you contact us by email, phone, or through our website; and
  • when you participate in coaching sessions or program activities.

We only collect personal information by lawful and fair means.

4. Why we collect your information

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • administer your enrolment in the Program;
  • deliver mentorship sessions and Program Materials to you;
  • communicate with you about your progress, scheduling, and Program updates;
  • process payments for the Program; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use your personal information for any purpose unrelated to the above without your consent.

5. Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may disclose your personal information to service providers who assist us in operating our business, including:

  • Email communications: internal email system
  • Video conferencing and coaching sessions: Discord and Zoom
  • Student enrolment and program delivery: proprietary software hosted by us
  • Student relationship management: proprietary CRM software hosted by us
  • Payment processing: bank transfer (no third party payment processor currently used)

These providers are required to handle your information confidentially and only for the purpose for which it is disclosed.

We may also disclose your personal information to:

  • professional advisers such as lawyers or accountants, where necessary; and
  • government agencies or regulators, where required or authorised by law.

6. Storage and security

We store your personal information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Your information is stored electronically on secure systems. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. When your information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

7. Marketing communications

We do not use your personal information for direct marketing purposes. We will not send you unsolicited marketing emails, SMS messages, or other promotional communications.

8. Cookies and website tracking

Our website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third party analytics tools. We do not collect any personal information through automated means when you visit our website.

9. Access and correction

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

To make a request, please contact us at the details set out in section 12.

We will respond to your request within a reasonable time and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

In some circumstances we may decline a request for access or correction. If we do, we will give you written reasons.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with this policy or the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us by contacting us at the details in section 12.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
